How to set up the Internet in Windows 2000
Note: Your
username and email address are the same. They are in the form
johndoe@dmsaccess.com. - Click on the Start menu.
- Click on Settings.
- Click on Network and Dial Up Connections.

- Open Make New Connection.

- Click the Next button.

- Choose Dial-up to the Internet.
- Click the Next button.

- Choose I want to set up my Internet Connection
manually, or I want to connect through a local area network (LAN).
- Click the Next button.

- Choose I connect through a phone line and a modem.
- Click the Next button.

- In the Telephone number box, enter the number of
your dial-up .
Click here to locate a local number near you.
- Uncheck Use area code and dialing rules.
- Click the Next button.

- In the User name box, type your email address.
- In the Password box, type your password.
- Click the Next button.

- In the Connection name box, type in your
username.
- Click the Next button.

- Choose No.
- Click the Next button.

- Click the Next button.

- If you wish to delete an old connection go on to step
#24, otherwise go to step #27.
- Right click on the connection you want to delete
- Click Delete from the context menu.

- Click the Yes button.
