How to set up the Internet in Windows 95

Note: Your username and email address are the same. They are in the form johndoe@dmsaccess.com.

1. Double left-click My Computer.

   

2. Double left-click Dial-Up Networking.
   
3. If  Welcome to Dial-Up Networking pops up, click here .

4. Otherwise, double left-click Make New Connection.

   

5. Type dmsaccess.com in the first box.
6. In the Select a device pull-down menu, select your modem. (most users will have only one choice)
7. Click the Next button.

   

8. Clear out the Area Code box.
9. In the Telephone number box, enter the number of your dial-up. Click here to locate a local number near you.
10. Click the Next button.

    

11. Click the Next button.

    

12. If you have an old Internet account you want to delete, continue on to step 13. Otherwise, go to step 16.

13. Right click on the connection you want to delete
14. Click Delete from the context menu.

    

15. Click the Yes button.
